After a parole search at a Greenfield home, Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people on suspicion of drug possession and other charges early Wednesday morning, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
The search was conducted at 1:29 a.m. when deputies contacted Diego Avalos, 27, of Soledad, at a home at 132 11th St. Deputies said Avalos lied to them about his probation status and prior criminal history, and was found with methamphetamine and marijuana.
Deputies said that Avalos admitted to possessing the drugs. The house belongs to Susan Riley, 35, who was on state parole and had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, deputies said.Both Avalos and Riley were arrested and taken to Monterey County Jail, deputies said.
