  • On October 3, 2011, Terry Paiso, while visiting a friend in the neighborhood, was shot and was killed. Words cannot express the pain and anguish our family and friends have endured since his murder. The killer’s decision to take the life of a human being with no regard for the effects it may have on others is unimaginable. Terry was taken from his wife, Vianca and from his two daughters, Emma, who just turned one on Oct. 23, 2011 and Lily; 2 months old. Emma was left without a Daddy to share her special day with. The sadness that’s left in her eyes each time she would see someone resembling her Daddy, Emma thinking that she will get to be held by her Daddy is so heart-breaking to watch. The loss of my son is beyond words. The pain that is left in our hearts is indescribable. We’ll never see his beautiful smile or hear his laughter, nor will we be able to give him hugs or get hugs. His daughters will not have their Daddy there for their debuts, nor will they have their Daddy to give them away on their wedding day.

I don’t know the reason behind my son’s murder, but the one thing I know for sure is, someone out there has information and/ or was a witness to his murder, which took place at the Faith Manor Apartments, on Forselles Way, in Hayward, on Monday, October 3, 2011, around 8:45pm. I understand that maybe you don’t want to get involved for fear of your safety but how safe can anyone be if the murderer is still out there and can just as easily murder another person?
Another reason would be for fear of being called a “snitch”. The definition for this word is “A person who has gotten caught with a crime and who is offered a deal, to give up information to the prosecutors, one who testifies against others in drug conspiracy cases, in the hope of getting a lesser charge or be set free.”

Stepping forward and being a witness or testifying to a crime that has been committed to another person, a crime that has taken the life of a human being is called “justice”! It’s called “doing the right thing” and is not considered “snitching”. I am pleading to anyone, if you have any information or if you were a witness to this, to please come forward and call Inspector Velasquez at (510) 293-7082. We are asking for your help. Justice for Terry Paiso. Thank you and God bless you!
