A convenience store customer was shot and seriously injured in an armed robbery, and the suspect remains at large, San Jose police said today. The robbery occurred Friday around 7:30 p.m., in a convenience store on the 500 block of North 17th St, police spokesman Officer Jose Garcia said.
An unidentified armed male entered the store and robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of cash. During the robbery, the suspect shot a 64-year old San Jose man who was in the store before fleeing the scene. The victim suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, and remains hospitalized, Garcia said. The suspect remains at large.
