George Wright was a convicted murderer when he escaped prison and then allegedly helped hijack a Delta Airlines jet and escaped to Algeria. Wright was serving a 30-year sentence for robbing and killing of a World War Two war hero at a gas station in Farmingdale, N.J. World War II Bronze Star recipient Walter Paterson was killed for the $70 in his pocket.
