* Hell’s Angels, Vagos Casino Shootout, Jeffrey Pettigrew HA President Killed

The 51-year-old president of the San Jose Chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle gang was killed in a gang shooting at a Nevada casino on Friday night, police said. Officers responded to reports of a multiple shots fired in John Ascuaga’s Nugget casino in the city of Sparks at about 11:25 p.m., according to the Sparks Police Department. Preliminary information from the investigation indicated the shooting erupted between members of the Hells Angels gang and a rival motorcycle gang known as the Vagos Motorcycle Club, according to police.
Jeffrey Pettigrew died from wounds sustained in the shooting, police said. Vagos member Leonard Ramirez, 45, was shot in the abdomen and was reported to be recovering at a hospital in stable condition, police said. A second Vagos member, Diego Garcia, 28, was also reported to be in stable condition after being shot in the leg. One person has been arrested in the wake of the shootout, police said. Hells Angels member Cesar Villagrana, 36, was allegedly seen on video surveillance shooting into a crowd during the confrontation.
It has not been confirmed if the shots he fired were responsible for wounding any of the three victims, police said. Villagrana was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a stolen firearm. Police believe the incident was witnessed by bystanders who might have videotaped or photographed the shooting.
