* Tool Theft From Hillsborough Construction Site Under Investigation

After a recent construction site burglary in Hillsborough which the thieves made off with numerous tools, authorities are encouraging contractors to store equipment securely. The burglary in the 100 block of Bridge Road, which is in eastern Hillsborough, was reported Friday.

Police said the burglary occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday. The suspects forced open two oversized toolboxes and removed numerous tools, police said. Contractors are advised to store equipment off-site to reduce the risk of theft. Police continue to investigate the burglary.
