* Remilio Myers Identified as Man Fatally Shot in Oakland

Police have identified the man who was fatally shot in Oakland Wednesday morning as Remilio Myers. Officers responded at about 11:30 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of 52nd Street, where they found three men who had been shot, police spokeswoman Holly Joshi said. Two of the victims had life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital, where one of the men, Myers, 31, of Oakland, succumbed to his injuries, Joshi said. The third victim had what police said was a non-life-threatening injury.
