Oakland police believe a man arrested in February may have stolen a gold bracelet they confiscated from him and are hoping find the rightful owner of the jewelry. The man was arrested Feb. 16 in the Fruitvale area, and police found him to be in possession of a men’s gold chain bracelet that he was attempting to sell, police said.
Police said the man has a history of arrests and convictions for robbery, and believe the bracelet was stolen. After exhausting all other means of finding the owner, police released photos of the bracelet on Monday. Anyone claiming to be the bracelet’s owner is asked to call the Oakland Police Department’s major crimes section at (510) 238-3475.
