* Man In Critical Condition After Allegedly Being Stabbed Wife Laura Jean Wenke in Redwood City

A man is in critical condition after a domestic violence-related stabbing in Redwood City on Thursday evening for which his 50-year-old estranged wife was arrested, police said.The stabbing was reported at about 7 p.m. Thursday at a business in the first block of Laurel Street. Officers arrived to find the victim, a 48-year-old Los Altos man, suffering from stab wounds to his neck and chest, according to police.
He told the officers he was stabbed by his estranged wife, Laura Jean Wenke, who was found in the business and arrested, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital and was in critical condition as of this morning. Wenke was booked into San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of attempted homicide, according to police.
