Four people have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in Danville last Friday, police said. Officers were called to Rubicon Circle where a homeowner said someone had entered her home and taken about $10,000 in jewelry, clothing and other items, police said.
The homeowner told officers that she suspected a relative in the burglary. Neighbors provided a description of the suspect, which matched that of the relative, Danville resident Danielle Bonnington. Using that information, officers monitored Bonnington in Oakland, according to police.
They pulled her over in a traffic stop, and officers found most of the missing jewelry in her possession, Danville police said. Officers also found a loaded firearm and methamphetamine. Bonnington was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and possession of stolen property, police said.
She was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility. Three other people in the car were also arrested. Two of them were wearing some of the stolen jewelry, police said. The three were identified as Danielle Gonzales, 31, who has addresses in Livermore and Oakland; and Oakland residents Jason Lord, 30, and Helen Wellman, 45.
Gonzales was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and methamphetamine for sale; Lord on suspicion of parole violation and being a felon in possession of a firearm; and Wellman for possession of a concealed and loaded firearm.Gonzales, Lord and Wellman were booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. More stolen property was found at their home, police said.
