A San Anselmo woman allegedly struck a parked car while driving drunk without a license and then fled the scene Thursday night, police said today. The hit-and-run collision was reported just before 9 p.m. Thursday, when a parked car was struck by another vehicle near Brookside Drive and Broadmoor Avenue, police spokesman Cpl. Sethi Jervan said.
A car was seen leaving the scene traveling east on Brookside Drive, and police soon spotted a vehicle with severe front end damage traveling south on Broadmoor Avenue near Morningside Drive. After stopping the vehicle, police determined that the driver, Fatima Diaz, 22, appeared to be intoxicated. Diaz was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit-and-run, driving on a suspended drivers license and violating her probation.
