The owner of a TV repair shop was arrested early Saturday morning after Scotts Valley police discovered child pornography and methamphetamine at his store, police said. Officers were patrolling the Kings Village Shopping Center around 1:30 a.m. when police found the door to Scotts Valley TV propped open, located at 218-I Mount Hermon Road, police said. When the officers entered the store, they found owner Aladdin Winchester, 62, sleeping inside.
Officers saw a large amount of child pornography in plain view, according to police. Using a search warrant, officers found additional child pornography on two hard drives and methamphetamine, and police seized both as evidence. Winchester was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography and possession of methamphetamine. He was booked in Santa Cruz County Jail.
