San Francisco police released more details this afternoon on a suspect and suspect vehicle in a Bernal Heights shooting that killed an 18-year-old man. Kevin Hall was shot around 12:30 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Alemany Boulevard and Crescent Avenue. Hall was one of two people in a faded red Buick traveling east on Alemany Boulevard at the time of the shooting, according to police. When the car stopped at a red light, another vehicle pulled up alongside it.
A suspect, described as a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, got out of the passenger side of that car, walked to the rear of the victims’ vehicle and opened fire, police said. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, possibly a silver Acura or Honda two-door, with a license plate beginning with “5.” The vehicle’s windows were heavily tinted and the headlights covered with a yellow film. The victims drove to San Francisco General Hospital, where Hall succumbed to injuries he suffered in the shooting, according to police.
