Sex offender compliance checks throughout Vacaville on Wednesday led to six arrests, police said. Vacaville police, along with other local law enforcement services, conducted 33 sex offender compliance checks throughout the city. The offenders were identified as being on probation or parole for sexual assault crimes that required them to register as a sex offender, police said.
Six offenders were arrested on suspicion of various violations to their parole including contacting other sex offenders, being under the influence of narcotics, possessing alcohol and possessing pornography. The suspects arrested include Albert Vasquez and Kenneth Ostrom in the 100 block of Allison Court; Mark Speer in the 100 block of Aegean Way; Gilbert Upton and Jesus DeLaRocha in the 200 block of Leisure Way; and Kelley Gallegos in the 100 block of Laurel Street, according to police.
Police said they maintain a zero-tolerance policy while conducting these checks and encourage offenders to abide by the terms of their probation
