* Two Separate Shootings in Oakland Send Two People to Hospital

Two separate shootings in Oakland sent two people to the hospital Saturday night, police said. The first shooting was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 800 block of International Boulevard, Oakland police Officer J. Moore said. Officers found one person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Moore said. Police could not immediately provide any suspect information.

Less than 20 minutes later, Oakland police responded to a second shooting in the 2300 block of 100th Avenue, he said. One victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition for treatment of a gunshot wound, Moore said. The suspect in the shooting drove away in a vehicle before police arrived, he said. No arrests have been made in either shooting. It is unknown if they are related.
