Police activity has prompted road closures in Concord this morning, but there is no threat to the public, California Highway Patrol Officer Tom Maguire said. At about 9:15 a.m., the CHP and Concord police closed the eastbound state Highway 4 off-ramp to southbound Port Chicago Highway. They also shut down southbound Port Chicago Highway from Arnold Industrial Way to Panoramic Drive, Maguire said. Details about the nature of the police activity were not immediately available, and police did not know when they would reopen the roads.
