* Two Dead in Oakland in Two Separate Overnight Shootings

Two people died in two separate shootings Friday night and early this morning in Oakland, an Oakland police officer said. The first shooting on Maddux Drive occurred around 11:15 p.m. The shooting left one person dead at the scene, Officer Kevin McDonald said. At a second shooting around 12:40 a.m. one person was found dead in the 3600 block of Galindo Street and another person was found about a block away with a gunshot wound. They were transported to a hospital in stable condition, police said.
