* San Mateo Sheriff’s Deputies Searching for Burglary Suspect

San Mateo County sheriff’s deputies are searching this afternoon for a burglary suspect who fled on foot from a Woodside intersection. The suspect was last seen running west at 1:56 p.m. from the traffic stop at Portola and La Honda roads, sheriff’s officials said. The sheriff’s office describes the suspect as a white male who is 5 feet 8 inches tall with a shaved head, blue shirt, blue pants and white shoes. The sheriff’s office is warning citizens not to approach to try to apprehend the suspect and encourages people with information about his whereabouts to call 911.
