Investigators believe they have arrested a graffiti vandal who is responsible for four months of tagging in downtown Santa Rosa and other parts of the city, police said. Detectives served a search warrant at a home in the first block of 10th Street at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
They located 29-year-old Eric Badger, along with evidence linking him to the tags, in which someone sprayed the moniker “JERK,” Santa Rosa police said. There have been more than 100 incidents of vandalism to city-owned property, and more than 50 privately owned businesses in the Railroad Square area have been vandalized.
Police estimate that the vandalism has caused more than $5,000 in damage. Badger was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, police said. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail on charges of felony vandalism and narcotics possession, police said.
