Mexican marines were night patrol en Veracruz when they were ambushed by Los Zetas drug cartel gunmen. Five marines and an unknown number of gunmen were wounded in a battle that last over an hour. A news reporter was on scene and got caught in the middle of the battle. Although he was trapped, he continued recording the deadly fire fight as he tried to find cover.
