A 16-year-old girl who received her driver’s license in May was arrested on suspicion of DUI in Forestville Friday morning, CHP Officer Jonathan Sloat said. The teen was driving with two 17-year-old girls in a Dodge Ram truck when it ran off Old River Road at Canyon Road in Forestville and overturned around 7:30 a.m., Sloat said. The CHP responded to the crash and noticed signs of intoxication in the driver, Sloat said.

The teen said she had been drinking hard alcohol the night before, Sloat said. She was placed under arrest, a blood sample was taken and she was taken to a hospital for treatment, Sloat said. A passenger in the vehicle, Britnee Brasher, of Forestville, suffered cuts and bruises and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Sloat said. The CHP is recommending the driver be charged with felony DUI causing injury and violating the provisions of her license by driving with the two 17-year-old passengers in the truck, Sloat said.

  • These 3 girls are lucky to be alive. I guess when you are young you just don’t think about the consequences of your actions , even though we have all been taught not to drink and drive. The driver was only 16. She should have her licence suspended for a good 5 years, visit a morgue to see what could have happened to her and her friends and attend a substance abuse class so when she does get her licence back she’s not making the same stupid decisions.
