Investigators are looking for a robber who stole cash from a liquor store in unincorporated Redwood City at gunpoint on Saturday night. The suspect entered Brenda’s Liquor, located at 2397 Spring St. in North Fair Oaks, at around 11 p.m. with a black ski mask pulled over his face, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. He walked behind the counter and aimed a semi-automatic pistol at the owner and two employees, sheriff’s officials said. The robber then took cash from the register and the shelf below the register and stole a gold chain from an employee’s neck. He left with about $3,000 in cash and the necklace, which is estimated to be worth about $1,000, sheriff’s officials said. He ran away and was last seen crossing Spring Street and heading west on Flynn Street.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male who spoke both Spanish and English during the robbery. He was wearing dark hooded jacket, with part of a white shirt seen hanging out below the jacket in the back. The jacket had broad white stripes across each shoulder and down each arm. He was also wearing blue jeans, dark athletic shoes, and gloves.
