A check-cashing business in Pleasant Hill was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday, police said. The robbery happened shortly after 11 a.m. at Check Into Cash, located in the 500 block of Contra Costa Boulevard. The robber entered the business alone, pointed a gun at a teller and stole cash, police said. After the robbery, he was seen getting into a silver or gray newer-model SUV similar to a Ford Explorer and heading south on Contra Costa Boulevard. The suspect was described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old with an average build. He had short braids and was wearing dark clothing and carrying a dark-colored handgun.
