A 70-year-old woman was pistol-whipped after being followed to her home in San Francisco’s Excelsior neighborhood on Tuesday night, police said. The attack was reported at about 9:55 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of London Street.

As the victim arrived at her home and was closing her front gate, two male suspects pushed their way in, according to police. One of the suspects, described as a man in his mid-30s, then took out a handgun and struck the woman in the head with it, police said.

The woman screamed, causing the suspects to flee. They had not been found as of today, according to police. The woman was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.

  • I don’t know if mad would be the emotion I would call the emotion I am feeling right now! I am feeling worried, unsafe, and frustrated. Worried because we just are not safe anywhere anymore, unsafe because the suspects are still out and about and close to my home, and frustrated that I live in a society where I can’t let my children walk by themselves to school for they may be kidnapped, raped or worse, that I have to look over my shoulder as I enter my neighborhood and residence because some lowlife may be tailing me to cause me harm, and countless other reasons that infringe on my personal rights and safety. Uuuurgggg…..
