* Donald Robinson Shot and Killed in Oakland

On July 16, 2011, at 10:13 PM, Oakland police officers responded to the intersection of West and 19th Streets to investigate a reported shooting. Upon arrival the officers found 28-year-old Oakland resident Donald Robinson inside a vehicle and suffering from a gunshot wound. Ambulance personnel responded to the scene and transported him to Highland Hospital, but doctors could not revive Robinson and subsequently pronounced him dead.
The motive for the shooting and suspect(s) responsible are not known at this time. The investigation is continuing, and anybody with information is asked to call the Oakland Police Department homicide section at (510) 238-3821.
