* Vallejo Safeway Robbed at Gunpoint

A Safeway customer service desk was robbed at gunpoint this morning, according to Vallejo police. The suspect in the robbery entered the Safeway on Robles Drive around 7:25 a.m., pointed a handgun at a clerk at the customer service desk and demanded money, said Lt. Eric Mortenson. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a white Chevy Impala with round tail lights. No one was injured in the robbery. The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build and light complexion with freckles.
