A man was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping a woman’s infant son after getting into an argument with her in San Francisco’s Marina District early this morning, police said. The kidnapping was reported at about 4 a.m. near the intersection of Lombard and Pierce streets. The 38-year-old man got into an argument with the victim, a 24-year-old woman, told her he was going to leave, then took the victim’s 10-month-old son, according to police. The man was later taken into custody and the child was found safe, police said. A police spokesperson was not immediately available this morning to provide the suspect’s name or more details about the case.
