A 67-year-old man was robbed after two suspects followed him from a Richmond convenience store this afternoon, a police sergeant said. Two suspects, described only as black men with one wearing a gray sweater, pushed a 67-year-old man to the ground in the 300 block of Chanslor Ave. The two had followed the man as he walked home from a trip to a convenience store before police were called at 12:25 p.m., Sgt. Al Walle said. The suspects pushed the man who fell forward. He injured his hands and face and then blacked out from the fall. The suspects took the victim’s beer he had purchased at the store and $2 in cash and ran away, Walle said. Police are looking at surveillance video from the area to find the men, who are at large, Walle said.
