Officers are investigating two fatal shootings in Oakland that occurred overnight, a police officer said. The first incident occurred at around 10:15 p.m. on Friday when police were called to the 6200 block of Avenal Avenue at, Officer Kevin McDonald said. A victim suffering from gunshot wounds was pronounced dead at the scene. Another fatal shooting was reported early this morning, at around 1 a.m., McDonald said. Officers responded to the 5700 block of International Boulevard and found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to police. No suspect information was immediately available for either
