Police arrested a man suspected of fatally shooting a 33-year-old man after an argument in Santa Rosa early Wednesday morning, police said. Officers responded to reports of a shooting near Second and D streets shortly after midnight and found Jack Romero of Santa Rosa suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Romero was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Detectives learned that Romero had been a patron at Third Street Aleworks before the shooting.

He had reportedly been involved in a brief argument outside the bar before being chased down and shot by the suspect, according to police. Police said Ryan Mitchell Dietz, 29, of Santa Rosa was arrested near his place of employment in San Rafael at around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday and was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of murder. Garicka Lavern Rush was also arrested at her home on Amethyst Way in Santa Rosa on suspicion of accessory to murder and was booked into the Sonoma County Jail with bail set at $50,000.
