* Edward Salas Wanted for Murder and Escape in New Mexico

The US Marshal’s Office is currently seeking Edward Salas on a warrant charging him with Escape. According to reports, Edward Salas is the last outstanding inmate to have escaped from the Curry County Adult Detention Center in August 2008.

Edward Salas was due to be transferred to a New Mexico state prison to serve his sentence for the Murder of 10 year old Carlos Perez, when he escaped with seven other inmates. Salas has a tattoo on his back of “SALAS” and a tattoo on his right arm of “LISA”. On September 15th, 2005, Salas and an accomplice Noe Torres shot Carlos Perez nine times as he was sleeping in his bed. Salas was convicted and Torres was never apprehended.
