* Union City shooting at 657 Whipple Road

The Union City Police Department is searching for a suspect who shot a man multiple times Sunday night, police said. When officers responded to 657 Whipple Road at about 8:30 p.m., they found a 22-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

The Alameda County Fire Department responded and paramedics provided medical assistance to the victim. He was taken to a hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injuries, police said. The victim’s condition and the extent of his injuries are unknown. No suspect information is available at this time.
