Officers arrested an armed robbery suspect at a concert in Petaluma on Monday night, police said. Police received reports at about 11:20 p.m. of a man with a gun at the Phoenix Theater at 201 Washington St., where the rapper Tech N9ne was performing. An officer at the scene located Jeronimo Cervantes, 18, of Healdsburg, and took him into custody, police said.
Cervantes is suspected of stealing merchandise that was being sold at the concert. He ran outside after the theft, and the robbery victim chased him, police said. Police said Cervantes then pulled out a knife and threatened to stab the victim. Cervantes was booked into Sonoma County Jail, where he was being held on $30,000 bail.
