Officers arrested a man suspected of brandishing a firearm at a busy restaurant in Walnut Creek Friday night, police said. Police responded to Cinco de Mayo restaurant at 1372 Locust St. at around 7:50 p.m. after receiving several reports that a man had walked in to the restaurant and pointed a gun at several employees while yelling at them in spanish.

Officers spotted a man who fit the suspect description at the corner of Locust and Cypress streets. Police detained 50-year-old Eduardo Ricardo Prado of Concord and allegedly found a realistic-looking replica handgun on his person, according to police.

Prado was arrested on suspicion of brandishing a firearm, making terrorist threats, and being in possession of fraudulent identification. He is being detained at Martinez County Jail on $75,000 bail.
