Martinez police are looking for information related to an interrupted residential burglary that took place Thursday afternoon. Authorities responded at about 4 p.m. to Mont St Michel Way, where the homeowner intruded on the intruder, preventing a loss of property. The homeowner had telephoned police, and Martinez police officers and Contra Costa County sheriff’s deputies responded.

Because the burglar had fled before police arrived, a neighborhood search was conducted using K-9 units and a police helicopter, but without success.
