Mexican Drug Cartel Leader Arturo Beltran Leyva was killed in Cuernavaca , Mexico during a one hour shootout with Mexican Sailors and Marines. The sailors and marines made a coordinated land and helicopter assault on his condominium complex hideout and were met with automatic machine gun fire from the cartel members inside the complex. Three sailors and marines were wounded by hand granades thrown at them by gang members. Twelve gang members were killed and one committed suicide rather than face arrest. One male and two female alleged gang members were arrested in the confrontation. Warning Violent Images May be Disturbing to Some Viewers.
