A man was hospitalized after being hit in the head several times with a hammer during a home invasion robbery in San Francisco’s Jordan Park neighborhood early this morning, police said. The robbery was reported at about 1 a.m. in the 3400 block of Geary Boulevard. Two suspects broke down the front door of the home and began to take items. One of the suspects encountered the 45-year-old victim and demanded money from him, according to police. The victim began to struggle with the intruders and was hit in the head and knees several times with a hammer, police said.
The suspects, a white man in his 30s and a black man in his late 40s, took three computers and a phone before fleeing. They had not been found as of this morning, according to police. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries and was in stable condition this morning, police said.
