* Teen Girl Seriously Injured in Hit and Run in Hayward on Friday Night

A teenage girl was seriously injured in a hit-and-run in Hayward Friday night, police said. The 17-year-old girl was crossing Soto Road, near Culp Avenue, at around 9:15 p.m. when she was hit by a white car. The car sped southbound on Soto Road towards Harder Road, according to police. The girl was taken to Eden Hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition. The car was described as a possible Toyota Corolla or Volkswagen Jetta, police said.
