* Valley View Middle School in Pleasant Hill was briefly evacuated after bomb scare

Valley View Middle School in Pleasant Hill was briefly evacuated today after a student called in a false report of a bomb, Pleasant Hill police said. The Police Department received a call from a juvenile shortly before 10 a.m. The caller said, “There is a bomb at Valley View” and hung up, according to police.

As a precaution, police evacuated the school until they were able to identify a 13-year-old student as the caller.The teen allegedly admitted to making the call and was arrested on suspicion of making a false report of a bomb, police said. The rest of the students at the school returned to their classes.
