A man was stabbed in the chest during a robbery in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood early Saturday morning, police said. The robbery was reported at about 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of Van Ness and Golden Gate avenues. The 31-year-old victim was approached by a suspect who demanded money, then stabbed him in the upper chest, took the cash he had on him, and ran away, according to police. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said. The suspect had not been found as of Monday.
