A 22-year-old man was arrested in Santa Cruz on Wednesday after police allegedly found illicit photos and a video of a 14-year-old girl in his phone. Officers stopped the man, identified as Heraclio Castrejon Ramirez, in his car and found that he and his passenger, the 14-year-old girl, were allegedly intoxicated, according to police. When officers checked Ramirez’s phone, they found several illicit photos of the girl they believe were taken over the past two weeks. They also found a video that allegedly depicted Ramirez and the girl having sex, according to police. Police said during an interview with detectives, Ramirez allegedly admitted to engaging in drug use and having sex with the girl knowing her age, police said. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography, manufacturing child pornography, child molestation, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The girl was booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of being under
the influence of a controlled substance.
