Officers are searching for two suspects in an armed robbery at a store in Gilroy Tuesday night, police said. Two men, armed with a handgun and knife, robbed La Flor De Jalisco Market at 144 Lewis St. at around 9:20 p.m., police said. The suspects spoke Spanish and demanded money from the clerks at the cash register.
They left with an undisclosed amount of money and were last seen running away from the store, heading eastbound on Lewis Street, police said. The suspects were described as Hispanic men, between 18 and 25 years old, and weighing about 160 pounds.
The man who was armed with a gun was described as 5 feet 4 inches tall and was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask, and dark blue shorts, police said. The other suspect was armed with a knife and described as 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black coat, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black ski mask, and dark blue pants. No one was injured during the robbery.
