San Jose:

On June 1st, 2011, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M., the San Jose Police Department, as authorized by the State of California and pursuant to Penal Code Section 290 & 290.45, will make a public notification of a Registered Sex Offender who may pose a risk to the community.  The notification will take place in the Payne & San Tomas Expressway area of West San Jose.  Detectives from the San Jose Police Department’s Megans Law Team will walk door-to-door and distribute flyers to residents.  Neighborhood associations and local schools will also be contacted.    This subject is not currently wanted by law enforcement. The purpose of this notification is to allow members of the public to protect themselves and their children from sex offenders.  The San Jose Police Department has no authority to dictate where this subject lives.  The public will be directed to contact the San Jose Police Department or the Megan’s Law website if they have any questions or concerns.
