Los Angeles police today confirmed the arrest of a man suspected of beating San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow outside Dodger Stadium on March 31. At about 7 a.m., officers from the LAPD’s northeastern division served search warrants at multiple locations throughout the city, Detective Gus Villanueva said this afternoon. Officers at an East Hollywood home arrested of one of two men suspected of beating the 42-year-old Santa Clara County paramedic into a coma, Villanueva said.
Police were in the process of questioning several other people who were taken into custody during this morning’s operation, Villanueva said. More information regarding the arrest was expected to be released by LAPD Police Chief Charlie Beck at a 4 p.m. news conference at Dodger Stadium.
Stow has been in a coma for nearly two months since the attack, and was transferred from Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center to San Francisco General Hospital on May 16.
