Officers in Antioch arrested a man and woman Friday afternoon on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property, police said. Kenneth Hubbs, 33, of Antioch and Rachael Byrnes, 25, of Pleasant Hill were detained at about 4:30 p.m. in the 3400 block of Gentrytown Drive, police said. Police responded to the area after receiving reports that suspects were seen taking items from a home in the area.

Witnesses provided police with suspect and vehicle descriptions, police said. Responding officers stopped Hubbs and Byrnes in a truck as they were driving away from the area and allegedly discovered stolen property in the vehicle, according to police. A search of the truck also allegedly revealed stolen credit cards, hecks, and identification from burglary incidents in Pleasant Hill, Pittsburg, and Antioch, police said. Hubbs and Byrnes were taken to the Main Detention Facility in Martinez.
