A man was fatally shot in Union City Tuesday night, police said. Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 600 block of Whipple Road at about 10:15 p.m. and found a 49-year-old Union City man suffering from gunshot wounds, according to police. Emergency crews provided medical aid at the scene and the victim was taken to a hospital where he died, police said. Information regarding suspect description and motive were not immediately available. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call (510) 675-5227.
