Police released the name of a man who was fatally shot in Union City Tuesday night and are asking for the public’s help finding his killer. Officers found a wounded Ruben Gonzalez Partida, 49, in the 600 block of Whipple Road at about 10:15 p.m. after receiving a report of a shooting.
Partida, who lived in the same block, had been shot several times, according to police. Emergency crews provided medical aid at the scene, and Partida was taken to a hospital where he died, police said. The shooting occurred on a busy thoroughfare in the community and police said they are confident that there might have been witnesses to the shooting.
