Officers arrested a 19-year-old man suspected of prowling and attempted robbery Thursday night in Petaluma, police said. A woman reported seeing a man putting on a black ski mask and hiding in the bushes in front of her home in the 600 block of Madison Street at around 7:45 p.m., police said. Responding officers found Jenner Mauvais Roberts in the bushes, dressed all in black and wearing black gloves, according to police. Roberts, a Fair Oaks resident, was detained and a search of his backpack allegedly yielded a Baretta Airsoft gun, zip ties, a beanie cap, a full face mask, garbage bags, face paint and a crow bar, police said. Roberts was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of prowling, possession of burglary tools, and attempted burglary.
