Three Antioch men were arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of possession of cocaine and marijuana for sale after Antioch and Contra Costa County authorities conducted a search of one of the men’s homes.Police said that a probation search was conducted at about 11:45 a.m. at a home in the 2300 Block of Mandarin Way, in the Sycamore Drive corridor, which police say has been plagued recently by shootings and other violent crimes.
According to police, the residence in question was allegedly related to several of these incidents. The Police Department’s SWAT team and the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office conducted the search and encountered the three men in and around the home’s open garage.
Adam Carpenter, 21, allegedly brandished a handgun at SWAT officers but was quickly subdued without injury to officers or himself, police said. Carpenter was allegedly in possession of rock cocaine for sale. Authorities said the search located marijuana and evidence indicating intent to sell the illicit substance. Carpenter, Leroy Washington Graham, 28, and Randall Dwayne Wilson, 21, were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on charges related to possession of drugs, firearms, and probation violations.
