* Man Shot On Alberni Street in East Palo

Officers are investigating a shooting in East Palo Alto that left at least one man wounded on Tuesday night, police said. Officers responded to Shotspotter activity in the 1000 block of Alberni Street at around 9 p.m. but could not find any evidence of a shooting, police said. Police then responded to reports of a hit-and-run near Garden Street and Addison Avenue and found an abandoned vehicle with bullet holes and blood. Officers discovered a 20 year old Easto Palo Alto man nearby suffering from a superficial gunshot wound to his hand, police said. The man was taken to a hospital. He did not give police information regarding the circumstances surrounding his injury.
